Dessert Turnovers

These little beauties made their debut at my monthly supper with our Bible study group. And they didn’t even last long enough for me to get a “final product” picture. These are so good that I had to go ahead and post this recipe instead of waiting until next time for the picture. (When I make them again, I will be sure to update this post.) These sweet, warm, tasty morsels received not one but two rounds of applause from the group of people fighting over whether there was enough for everyone to have 2 or 3 each. All of that to say, do not hesitate. Go make these for your family tonight. Their love for you may increase a little bit. 😉

what you’ll need:

  • 1 can of crescent roll dough
  • filling (I used apple pie filling, Nana’s strawberry freezer jam, and Nutella with mini marshmallows)
  • topping if needed (cinnamon/sugar, honey, powdered sugar)

how you’ll do it:

unroll the crescent roll dough and flatten a little
put a small scoop of filling in the middle

wrap up the dough, sealing all open seams
sprinkle topping if desired
bake at 350* for about 15 minutes

The fun part about this dessert is that the option are endless. Had I had more time I would have sprinkled the tops of all of them with a complimentary topping.

  • blueberry pie filling
  • cherry pie filling
  • grape jam
  • peanut butter and chocolate chips
  • nutella and marshmallow cream
  • peach cobbler filling
